Price increase from April 1, 2019. Squared bread 972 yen. Pullman 972 yen. British bread 864 yen. It will be the amount of tax.
Will not do
It is open on Sundays and public holidays, but it is crowded.
It depends on the type of bread I could purchase without waiting at 12 o'clock on weekdays
I remember using a credit card when I bought Kakuhan Bread
Of course there are fruit sandwiches. There are other classic products such as egg sandwiches introduced on TV, fillet cut sandwiches, and beef cutlet sandwiches that cost 6,000 yen. If you want to know more, please ask over the phone.
Cash only
Menu are depend on the time you get in. But there will be a queue so better be there around 30 minutes before time
Love their bread. 1 hour for waiting. Cannot.... so I came to the cafe side. Kinda pricy but I just miss the soft toast!!!Jam butter 2 kinds of bread is 1500 with a half glass of milk. Also the wagyu sandwich is very good. Pork cutlet also good. Stay away the egg sandwich, tuna sandwich. No good...I’ll try other ones in the future and update them:)
the bread was very nice. worth the try, eventho it's a bit pricy. and the queue was very long.
There are two types of people in this world. One that loves the the Centre Bakery, another that doesn’t know they love the Centre Bakery yet, imho. When you approach the bakery, expect to see two long lines, the left one is for those who wish to dine in, and the right one for those who wish to by white breads to go. And if you wish to dine in, they won’t let you in unless everyone is present. They have the best white bread and the best sandwich. I recommend the egg sandwich, the French toast, and the strawberry whipped cream sandwich. Everything on the menu is awesome.
How tasty!!! There were three types of bread and they were totally different. some butter as well. Great restaurant for branch.
Great tasting loaves to start off the morning! Sandwich menus only available after 11am as they only serve toasts in the morning session (it was fun toasting bread with the toaster on your table and trying the different types of butter and jams available). After 11, try the delicious and juice sandwiches!
Very popular place. Lines can be long, worth the wait. More expensive then most meals but I would say it is worth the extra $!
I grew up in a place where toasters are common (ie Sydney) household appliances. But that doesn’t seem to be the case in Japan, so you can come and visit this famous bakery which is almost like a toaster display / museum / shop type experience. They take their toasters and toasting here very seriously. You will see patrons analysing each toaster on their shape and size and effectiveness before deciding on one to bring back to their table. You can choose from brands like Delonghi , Breville etc. Their breads are also super fluffy, like a typical Japanese bread. It’s quite pricey (about $25 USD for a set) though so I probably wouldn’t come back. But I’m glad I experienced it. One more thing to note, expect to queue for ages before you get a table.
Best quality
We loved this bakery. The egg sandwich is delicious. You can even pick your own toaster to cook your toast is you order toast. There is sometimes a line though so be prepared.
The most expensive bread I've ever taste plus the queueing time was just ridiculous. Not worth to try, better buy your own bread and jam at family mart. I can assure you that the taste is not much different.
Should try once the trio set. But after all you can just order sandwiches. Great stuff.
The long wait is worthy. Got to try one of the nicest bread in the world.
BEST bakery-restaurant ever. They have mastered the art of making “shoku-panâ€, essentially bread that goes with the main dish. There are three different types of toast they focus on, each has its own distinctive flavour and texture. The butter and jam set menu is enough to make an adult happy and want for more. Great interior and very thorough explanation of their service too. There’s not enough words to describe how awesome this simple yet fantastic place is. The only thing to watch out is that there’s always a lineup in the morning so be sure to allocate enough time to come here. I’d give it a 6 stars if Google allowed me!
The best breakfast in Tokyo, highly recommend but you will probably have to wait in line
Best tasting white bread ever! Expect to wait at least an hour or two to get a seat! But it is so worth it! I've traveled 7.000Km just to get here...so amazing and I'll be coming back again!
Changed bread for me forever. I never thought I could have a true appreciation for bread until I tried theirs here. We ordered the jam and the butter set so glad I went with other people so I could try their sets haha. They give you the option to choose your own toaster which is pretty fun. The service was quick and the different types of bread they give you is unique and they recommend different ways to experience the bread some with jam some without anything and some to enjoy without toasting so do your best to read before you enjoy! We just missed out on the katsu sando since we came too early but would recommend to try since I heard so much about it! Will definitely be coming here again when I visit Tokyo again! Oh and it's two different lines! One for the bread shop and the other for the restaurant be sure to be in the right line :-)
Cracking Croque Monsieur and a decent pot of Darjeeling, Service was friendly too.
Probably one of the BEST toast I’ve ever had in my life. The service of the cafe is also 10 out of 10. Took a star away cuz the drink ( black tea )is just acceptable for the price.
love everything. the bread set is so wonderful. fillet katsu is so perfect. Love Love
Very interesting place for a quick snack break. The bakery offers a platter with three different toasts (bread using different flour) and an amazing selection of jam and butter. The French butter offered was superb and the day we went they had a chestnut spread which I liked a lot. For takeout, there is usually a long line to take the loaf of bread to go. Generally no line for dine in (except around lunch time). This would be a 5 star if prices are a bit cheaper (paid about 8 bucks for a cup of ice coffee).
Closed on Monday but you can take away the bread.
You can make no complaints in this cafe bakery shop! The Japanese toaster tastes so soft, tender and sweet! You will never forget it!
Bread is perfect. 3 types of flour variety (Japan, North America and British) the jam also taste good and many selection
Great fresh bread and spreads. Is definitely worth the long line and the wait. FYI, the red line is to eat in and the blue line is to take out.
Was looking for a bakery wanting takeaway food and chose this place. What we found was very fancy, we felt a little underdressed wearing tourist clothes. Reminded me of places that do fancy 'high teas'. So, we decided to eat-in. Good variety of food. Lovely decor, good atmosphere. Plenty of staff. English menu for those needing it. Prices are on the high side but reflective of the venue. Food made fresh. Expect a wait, queing outside, especially at lunch time.
The bread were good, but not that amazing as advertisement. I have to say something about their service. They have 3 sets for morning breakfast. Bread with butter, with jam, and with butter and jam. We ordered 2 sets with butter and other two with jam. When we were ordering, their staff warned us twice that we wouldn’t be allowed to share jam with people who didn’t order it. It was so ridiculous as they sell bread instead of jam. However we followed the rule. My friends shared her bread with me so I had a chance to taste their jam. It tasted soooooo average that I didn’t understand why they treated their jam as treasure?! Because of early warning from their staff, we cannot feel any relaxation during breakfast. Also, they’ll notice you that you only have one hour to finish your meal. There are thousands of choices in Tokyo, I don’t think you stores with such meaning rules would survive among competition.
Good place for tea (or coffee) and toast. It's obviously very unusual in Japan, but wouldn't be so much in England (where I'm from). I recommend the toast set. They bring three types of bread and butter to your table, and a toaster (genuine British Russell Hobbs toaster) to your table.
I enjoyed butter and jam bread set, but nothing was special except japanese style bread. Service was great, but the server who was man wearing glasses and vest spoke in english in very rude way to me. (it was my fault that i did not know the rule of centre bakery) Also, it was not nice to sit the toilet-closest table (because other tables that were close to the toilet were empty, i only can think that my table placed on purpose.) i do not recommend eat-in, but if you want to enjoy the famous centre bakery bread, line up for buying bread.
Very tasty bread. Worth to try.
You can choose a toaster and put it on your table when you order a butter and jam set. Cutlet sandwiches is good. Cheese toast is fully covered by freshly melted cheese.
Very bad service cashier no service mind and so emotional look down at customer not recommended
The breads were amazing but with 3 slices is too full for me as i just finish my lunch so i can't eat all of it. Jam also good as expect especially chestnut jam.
Surprisingly the best toasts we ever had. I would recommend this place, although I would recommend to book it first as the are always queues. It also is a nice experience to see how Japanese customers are unfamiliar with the idea of toasts and how to use roster.
Everything on the menu is awesome. You can make no complaints in this cafe bakery shop! The Japanese toaster tastes so soft, tender and sweet! You will never forget it!
It was definitely an interesting experience for sure. You line up for approximately 30 mins to 1 hour to get in. Once you walk in you are able to choose a range of bread (toast) styles, butter, jams and drinks. Once ordered you can make your way to the side where you can pick a style of toaster that you like. To sum it up, its a bakery with a cafe where you toast your own bread to drink with a coffee or tea. It's extremely expensive and not worth all the hype. The only good thing I can point out is the great customer service. If you have money to burn and want to experience the high life of Ginza - would recommend.
O the bread is so soft, its unbelievable. Eating it plain is also as good as being toasted.
Yummy bread/cheese toast. Great service. Clean interior well decorated. Little expensive but very good quality food
Nice place. Popular lunch is 3 different slices of toast with 3 types of butter (1100 Yen). You can pick your own toaster! Very tasty bread. Everything else offered is surprisingly expensive, but service is good and you'll have a good experience overall.
Strange concept where you can pick your own toaster and make toast at your table.... But we tried the French toast instead. It was very well made and quite savoury. But the cream and maple syrup balance it out well. Very well presented, and professional staff, spoke English and provided an English menu.
Nice service and dining area. But honestly I don’t think the bread and butter/jam tastes all that different from the ones you can buy from elsewhere. It might suits for IG posts but given the price I’ll rather opt for other cafe.
The best toast in the world! Soft and tender feeling in your mouth! But I cut one star for the coordinations of staff for take away and Eat-in.
Great sandwich if no waiting, got in at 10.30 perfect timing no line for dining in. Able to order breakfast toast and lunch sandwiches which starts at 11 AM
Might be ok for Japanese people, but as a westerner I could not stand this place. 1 hour wait while there were definitely plenty of available seats. They couldn’t tell us how long it would be but appeared like 10 minutes should have been enough. Service was pretty bad as they were under staffed. Other patrons took forever to eat. These are the few jobless in Tokyo. Food is glorified wonderbread. If you have to go because you’re basic and need it for your blog, get the croque madame
Very nice bakery in Tokyo, expect long queue
Standard food with very long QVery disappointing as lot of empty table inside. The bread and butter is ok
NO EAT-IN ON EVERY MONDAY! ONLY TAKE-OUT
Good loaf bread.. crispy outer crust... Inside is soft.. even after a few days...
The bread was good, but the service not. Imho this resto is overprice. One try typical resto. I dont mind to buy bread from the store. But not to the resto..
Good quality of pastry but over price. The portion does not suit the price.
